Description
This photograph is not of the full sculpture, which would include the woman's shoulders and head. Instead, the photograph focuses on the cherub at the woman's feet and his gift of flowers for her. The marble sculpture is "A Garden Allegory: The Dew and Zephy Cultivating Flowers" and was made in France from 1683 to 1732. Three sculptors were involved -- Benoit Massou, Anseleme Flamen, and Nicolas Rebille. The sculpture was photographed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
