Epcot Center, one of four theme parks at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, has as its main attraction and mascot "Spaceship Earth", an 180-foot-tall geosphere that allows you to travel through time and space and see dazzling scenes of life in the 21st century, as well as the beginning of mankind and its history. Epcot Center was inspired by Walt Disney's creative vision for the future. This theme park focuses on human achievements which are celebrated through imagination, wonders of enterprise, and concepts of the future that could someday benefit all.
This is a photograph of Spaceship Earth, most photos show more of its roundness, but I felt it was fitting to show this futuristic icon from a slightly different perspective.
I enjoy photography and writing, and sometimes think of myself as a photojournalist. If there is a story to be told with a photograph, I tell it. As a longtime resident of Washington, DC, a lot of my photographs are of this area, and I enjoy writing in the description something about the shot -- it could be a short statement about an equestrian statue in the middle of a park, or a more intimate tale of the mausoleum where Abraham Lincoln's son, Willie, was entombed for the remaining three years of Lincoln's presidency after the boy's death.
