Description
Ben Bradlee, who died at the age of 93 in October, 2014, became famous during his reign as executive editor of The Washington Post when he played a pivotal role in the downfall of President Richard M. Nixon during the Watergate scandal in the early 1970s. His fame also includes challenging the federal government over the right to publish the Pentagon Papers, which happened during the Nixon presidency as well. This photograph is of a window on the back side of the Bradlee mausoleum, and was taken because it shows in the window's reflection the beautiful autumn foliage of Oak Hill Cemetery in Washington, DC, where Bradlee rests in eternal peace.
