Description
Today I saw Senator Bob Dole at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was a fitting place to see Senator Dole, who served with great distinction in World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his valor. The injuries he received in the war left his right arm paralyzed. But this disability did not stop Dole from serving in the United States Senate from 1969 to 1996, running for the presidency against Bill Clinton in 1996, and being President Gerald R. Ford's running mate in 1976. He is an inspiration for all Americans, regardless of their political party.
