Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

This is the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The historic beau arts style building was built in the late 1800s and is located across the street from the south lawn of the White House.

In mid-2014, the Corcoran was purchased by both the National Gallery of Art and George Washington University. The National Gallery will operate the museum and manage its extensive art collection, and the prestigious Corcoran School of Art will be part of George Washington University, and continue to operate from the Corcoran. As a result of this purchase, the Corcoran will be closed for approximately a year and a half as it undergoes much needed renovations, and will re-open in late 2015 or early 2016. The School will continue to operate, either at George Washington University or at the Corcoran building, while the renovations take place.

As a longtime resident of Washington, DC, a lot of my photographs are of this area, and I enjoy writing in the description something about the shot -- it could be a short statement about an equestrian statue in the middle of a park, or a more intimate tale of the mausoleum where Abraham Lincoln's son, Willie, was entombed for the remaining three years of Lincoln's presidency after the boy's death. These photographs are contained in the aptly named "Washington DC" Collection. In addition to "WDC" there are eight other Collections on this page, and two of my favorites are "Paintings" and...
