Two white crosses mark the graves of brothers Robert F. Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy (Bobby and Ted, respectively), the younger brothers of President John F. Kennedy, at Arlington National Cemetery adjacent to President Kennedy's grave site. Bobby Kennedy's grave is at the far right. He was assassinated on June 6, 1968, on the night he won the California Democratic primary in his bid for the presidency of the United States. At the time he was a Senator representing the state of New York, and he was the country's Attorney General during his brother's presidency. Ted Kennedy's grave is on the left. He died of a brain tumor on August 25, 2009, and at the time of his death was the fourth-longest-serving senator in United States history, having been in the Senate for 47 years representing the state of Massachusetts since 1962. I enjoy photography and writing, and sometimes think of myself as a photojournalist. If there is a story to be told with a photograph, I tell it. As a longtime resident of Washington, DC, a lot of my photographs are of this area, and I enjoy writing in the description something about the shot -- it could be a short statement about an equestrian statue in the middle of a park, or a more intimate tale of the mausoleum where Abraham Lincoln's son, Willie, was entombed for the remaining three years of Lincoln's presidency after the boy's death.
