Artist's Description
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery is on a hill overlooking Washington, DC. It was established in 1921 to honor an unknown soldier from World War I, and was followed by two soldiers from World War II (one for each of the two hemispheres the war was fought in), and then a soldier from the Korean War.
