I saw this painting in DC a few years ago and loved it. I have been wanting to put it in my home since then, Part of what I loved about it was the soft colors. This version seems to have much stronger colors, especially the red-brown Is it that dark in person or does it look darker on the computer?

Cari, I apologize for my delay in getting back to you. I have not been well, but when I am able, I will go back to the National Gallery of Art and re-photograph this painting. I admit, the coloring is a bit off, but the original, in my opinion, seemed a bit dull, so I tried to enhance the problem. Now I am anxious to go back and look at the painting with a much better eye than I had back seven or eight years ago when I photographed it. Thank you for your comment, it is helpful. - Cora
