Description
This is Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted at the founding of our country in the 1770s. Philadelphia was the first and temporary capital of the United States, which was moved to the District of Columbia, or Washington, D.C., in the 1890s. Independence Hall was built from 1732 to 1753, and today is a popular tourist attraction in historic Philadelphia.
