Artist's Description

"Le Gourmet" was painted by Pablo Picasso in 1901. This photograph is "up close", meaning I focused on the girl's upper body and face. The actual painting shows the girl's full body, and a photograph of that painting precedes this one in my gallery. The painting is on exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., where it was photographed.
