This particular sculpture of Discobolus was a gift to the United States from Italy in 1956 and is located in Edward J. Kelly Park, at 22nd Street and Virginia Avenue, near the State Department, in Washington, DC. It was given to the United States as an expression of gratitude for our country's assistance to Italy following World War II. The sculpture in Kelly Park was made by Rodolfo Siviero and Bruno Bearzi.
