The Washington Marriott Marquis, which opened in early 2014, is now the largest hotel in Washington, D.C., with nearly 1,200 rooms. This photograph is of the hotel's enormous glass ceiling atrium, which is fifteen floors high. The Marriott Marquis is next to the Washington Convention Center on Massachusetts Avenue, a short distance from the United States Capitol.
