Description
This statue of a woman seated with a book open on her lap is outside the National Archives in Washington, D.C. She is studying the past, and looks up from the book when realizing that the past is prologue. This thought is inscribed on the base of the statue, and the inscription is what I chose as the title for this photograph.
If you would like to see a photograph of the full statue with the inscribed words on its base, a photograph of it precedes this one in my gallery and can be accessed by clicking on the above "PREV" (for "Previous").
